Thaddeus Seymour 1928–2019

Sadly, we say goodbye to our chairman, cofounder and leader—in every sense of the word—Thaddeus Seymour. Chairman Seymour, or “Thad” to those who knew and worked with him, passed away peacefully at home Saturday with family by his side. He was 91 and is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Polly, and their four children.
Former president of Rollins College. Unwavering advocate for Winter Park. Generous mentor who cared about community. Intellectual without a hint of condescension. To try and summarize his life, and what he meant to us, in a couple of paragraphs would do Thad a terrible injustice. Suffice to say, he was always quick with a smile, a story and an encouraging word.
Habitat for Humanity and Winter Park have lost a true champion and friend. We’ll miss you dearly, Thad.
